Day four- Why do a year review? and Ways you can review.

The year in review begins today.

Day four in our review

Here we are looking at the huge benefits of doing a yearly review, if not a decade review!

I'll give you some tips and tools for how you can do that and throw in some ideas for planning for 2020 so your set up and in alignment with your dreams.

If you have yet to catch up on our paper trail these past few days, you can always read them on the blog here.

Day one: Reading list and book review. In 2019 we did this list. Read here Day two: A book review I forgot in day one and a thing I did in 2019 that made my heart swell. Read here Day three: I learnt about love, and pain, and myself, and others and did I say...Love? Read here

Every year I'm lead during a BodyTalk or coaching session to ask "share with me what you did this year" or "share with me all the things you did this year".

And so often the replies back sound like this:

~ "Nothing much" ~ "I don't feel like I achieved much at all" ~ "Well that was a waste of year" ~ "I'll write that one off, I didn't get much done at all" ~ "Nothing purposeful" ~ "It's all just a blur" ~ "Well no goals that for sure" Me, "What were your goals?" Them, "I don't know I didn't write them down"

It's so important to unblur it.

To get clear about what you experienced and give yourself a BIG CHEER about it.

It would be easy to let that blur of a year pass you by and not give it another thought. And I'm all for being really present to where you are right now. But you can remain present to where you are right now whilst reflecting on the year you've just experienced.

What's it going to help you with?

Reflecting on your year will help you too...

~ Get a lay of the land and realise that so very much happened this year.

~ That builds gratitude for all that you have experienced.

~ Gratitude has a huge chemical response within your body and is deeply healing.

~ It helps you to connect in with themes that may be playing out in repetitive experiences that happened often (like money mindset issues/ communication issues in relationships/ more money and abundance coming in) both the good and 'needs work'.

~ Identify your lessons for the year (most important) it stops you from having to keep relearning and attracting them to you again this coming year.

~ Regain your focus. It's like building a little road map for your life. You see where you are right now, where you have travelled and where you are headed for....and see if it aligns with where you actually want to go.

~ Sometimes we are pointed in a direction that doesn't align with what we actually want, so reflecting and planning helps to realign. So does the My Incredible Orbit community FYI.

~ Start your new year on a new high with renewed vision.

How you like to review the year and plan will totally depend on how your wired to receive information and use it. The list of suggestions below might tickle your fancy. You might even like to take a bit for each one and make your very own recipe for reviewing.

Either way, I'd love to know what you end up doing and how it works for you.

Write Your End Of Year Review Grab a notebook, journal, piece of paper etc and put the do not disturb forcefield up around you for about 30-40 mins.  Write down your answers to the following questions:

a) What are your biggest accomplishments this year? These are any results that you are proud of (I moved house and survived, that's one of my accomplishments) get the drift? It could be having a baby, graduating, changing a new job, completing a course, being in a new relationship... all are worthy of being on your list.

b)  What are your biggest lessons this year? Be honest and don't censor or hold back.

c)  On a scale of 1-10, how satisfied are you with how you have spent this year? And how it turned out? Write down why?

d)  What do you want to accomplish next year so that it's your best year ever?

e)  What would it take for you to feel 10/10 in happiness at the end of next year?

f)  What new habits can you cultivate to help you achieve your goals that you wrote in question d and e.

g) What are the things you can put in place immediately that will help you achieve these goals?

Take as much time as you need. Feel free to come back to it and do another question each evening for a week, or whatever works for you. I like to let the momentum carry me as far as it feels right.

You can also do this whole process as a video.

You can record yourself speaking and answering all the questions.

You can then easily review the video throughout the year.

It's great to see how you are and what you sound like at the end of the year, quite often you notice how much you've changed. You may notice you sound more peaceful, centered, confident etc!

For those of you who love your creativity and art, you can do this in your ART JOURNAL, and use colour, images, doodles, sketches, paintings to form your answers.

You are your only limitation.

Remember this is a FUN experience, don't get your knickers in a knot.

If your getting worked up or stressed, acknowledge that you've hit your limit (for this moment) walk away, go and move, sing, bath, cook, sleep...whatever you need to do, in order to let your entire bodymind digest the information your obviously processing from your review and planning!

If your not in a place to make big plans right now, baby steps are absolutely perfect! You'll be surprised at what they can do.

And if your really interested in bringing some of theos goals into reality why don't you do my A2I- Attention to Intention Vision Board Intensive course. The specific protocol that I teach you in this course, helps you to define even more clearly what that goal is and gets the wheels in motion to manifesting it PRONTO!

On Monday I'll be back and will share with you some more planning tools I use. One of them is SO FUN. It's the 100 Things to do list.

Till then, I hope your continuing to have beautiful holidays and are loving each day you have.

Love,

Jacquie xx
