Day two- End of decade review 2019

The year in review begins today.

Day two in our review

It's christmas eve here in Australia and I'm finishing off the last of my work today before taking some days off. I'm so excited...I so love the energy of Christmas...even more so when my nephews are with us (not this year unfortunately, but both my kids are home)

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has taken the time to pop an email back. Yesterday I wrote the first letter in this sequence to you. It looked at the juicy books I read and highly recommend this year, to the things we did.

I really appreciate the time you take to write, I know your busy and have other things on the go. Your appreciated!

However I realised that I left two things off that list yesterday...

When someone backs themself and takes the plunge into something scary, I'm right behind them supporting them to the finish line. And this year a lot of people in our community did just that...Scary stuff that ultimately made them stronger and happier.

Maybe that's something you could look at for 2020, ticking off some of your scary stuff.

Thing I forgot, one:

I'm currently reading a book called Just a Slap by Kathleen P Howard. This is someone from our community and she mustered a lot of spirit to write and publish it to the world. I thoroughly recommend you check it out. It's 5 stars all the way and can be found on Amazon.

Thing I forgot, two:

There is an annual initiative in Australia that has just finished running. It's called "It's in the bag" and it's run by an organization called Share the Dignity.

This was the first year I've been able to participate. It's in the bag is about supporting women around Australia who are in crisis. For women on the ground who are unhomed, women and victims (youth) of domestic violence fleeing to save their lives and women in drought ravaged areas who have nothing left and can't give to themselves.

The idea is that you grab a bag from your cupboard (in good condition) that you don't use anymore, or buy one and fill it with essentials that these ladies/ teens/ girls and babies will need.

Yep, there are a few different bags one can do. A bag for a woman, teenager or nappy bag. (Obviously for a young mum with baby)

My daughter Abbey and I put together two bags this year. I did one for a woman and Abbey wanted to do one for a young teen (just like her).

We fill it with the "basics". Shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, deodorant and sanitary items. And can add some special items that we think might make her feel special!

It's not lost on us as we walk around the supermarket how significant these items are to women who have absolutely nothing. And just 30 mins before I was using these products at my home to leave the house!

There are some 85,000 unhomed women in Australia and it saddens me to think of the loneliness and despair they must feel at times.

We added items like wipes, brush and comb, moisturiser, tissues, bandaids, a notebook and pen for journaling thoughts, towel, face washer, some nice perfume,  hair ties, nail clippers, santa sack filled with mini chocolates, handwritten cards and a pair of earrings each from my new design range.

Out of everything I've done this year, this was the one I felt especially proud of...and next year I've set a target of between 30 and 50 bags to be donated. And a lot of you will help with that!

A small portion of each My Incredible Orbit membership, session fee and course fee will go to bringing together the bags to donate by November 2020.

And I know that many of you are from all over the world so I thank you in advance because...for the women we are going to be supporting and lifting up....they are standing on the same planet that we all are, we are all intrinsically connected.

If you were to take away all the waters from the surface of Earth, we are all standing on the same ground. We really are all connected.

Because I wanted to come back and share with you those two very special things today, I'll continue on the 27th December with rest of my sharings.

~ What I learnt in 2019 and .....

~ What we will be looking forward to and planning for 2020. ~ How I'm doing my end of year planning. ~ Some tips for you that you can do for yours! ~ What we are doing in the world of My Incredible Orbit in 2020. ~ I'll open my 100 things to do list for 2020 and share some with you.

MERRY CHRISTMAS HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY HOLIDAY PERIOD

Love,

Jacquie xx
