I hear the internal nudge- so what?

From the Table is a series of conversational articles which have been birthed from the weeks treatments with Jacquie McIntyre- showcasing some interesting concepts and issues that people face in their journey to body-mind health and deep happiness. (all names have been changed)

GRAB A CUPPA!

It's going to happen to all of us at some point. The slide into a space of uncomfortableness, of icky, of sadness (but not knowing why). The feeling of "I don't want to do anything", "I just want to hide". Like your not put together right, depression can sweep in overnight and you wake up thinking- "Oh no, not this place again...I know this place...I don't like this place...get me out of this place!" Anyone, someone please get me out of this space! This is where people go fundamentally wrong. They try to swim out of it really fast. No one told you that it's against the current your swimming. I've talked about this in the past...you may remember? People are not OK with not being OK.

You were actually taught from the day your feet hit this earth to avoid, to run, to not deal, not trust these experiences. So you have to build a new relationship with it- you have to do the work, otherwise it will own your forever. One of my favourite sayings I made up about 4 years ok is "I'm OK with no not being OK" Why am I OK with not being OK? Because it's just an experience, it does not define you. It is NOT permanent. It will leave and there is enormous wisdom within the experience that can be tapped into that you take forward with you in life. It's always for a reason- it NEVER just randomly happens.

Majority of the time the trigger has been unconscious- your just not aware of it. Your subconscious memory has been activated to some sort of sensory information from your environment that links into a belief, attachment, past memory, event, trauma etc

By simply acknowledging..."Hey I don't quite know what's going on right now but I've got this"has the power to put you in the driver's seat- rather than feeling like it's you being taken on a ride that you have no control over.

The next thing you need to do is listen!

Quietly ask yourself...."Self what do I need to do today to support myself through this experience" (or you can break it down to an hourly thing if your really doing it tough)

Listen and feel...

There are usually two different voices in conflict at this point- this is where people go wrong. They listen to the wrong voice.

(example)

You to self: "What do I need to do today to support myself through this experience?"

Voice one: "Work with my hands- build...finish that wooden project I have been working on :-)"

OR

Voice one: "Get out of the house as soon as possible, take your book, go to the park, lay out a blanket and read the book"

Voice two: (Is usually sounding a bit more harsh and finger pointing) "Get up and get on with it- push it out of your mind, the more you think about it the worse it will get"

OR

Voice two: Don't be lazy, you don't have time to read books, you have things to do. You got yourself into this now get yourself out of it!"

Voice one always sounds quieter because it's compassionate and caring. It's your intuition. It's always steering you in the right direction- it has your back- it is you.

Voice two is your mind. It likes to dictate to you, be bossy and tell you how it should be. An untrained mind is a dangerous one. And unfortunately most people have untrained minds. When it is in this mode, it is destructive. Don't mistake the harshness for constructive direction. It's not.

So, listen deeply to voice one and tell voice two to sush!

And my last piece of advice I give to everyone is go to nature. It has the most incredible healing properties available to you.

Sit under a tree, walk in nature, swim in creeks, rivers and oceans, stand on top of a mountain at a lookout and remember your place in the world again, lay on the grass with nothing else under you except you and the grass.

GO TO NATURE.

As a super special present I found this short documentary for you that supports Grounding. Grounding is now prescribed by all kinds of doctors & specialists globally as a medicine for many ailments, symptoms and diseases. The studies done over the past few years are kick butt brilliant!

This beautiful little docco will fill you with knowledge which becomes your wisdom. Wisdom you take forward with you from today onwards..so when you slip into a space of "Not being OK...but totally being OK with that" you will have a good solid backup and support plan.

"I've got this, I'm OK with not being OK"

I hope you enjoy! All my best, Jacquie x
